Myanmar's President U Htin Kyaw appointed mayors for the former capital of Yangon and the second largest city of Mandalay, the President's Office said on Tuesday.
The Myanmar government has refuted a critique over probable failure to set up a stock exchange in the country, saying that the establishment of the stock exchange is a business rather than politics, official sources said Wednesday.
Myanmar has become a full member of the ASEAN Infrastructure Fund (AIF), joining other ASEAN members and Asian Development Bank (ADB), a semi-official media quoted a statement of AIF Director for Myanmar U Maung Maung Win as saying on Friday.
