Vietnam's national air carrier Vietnam Airlines will open direct flights from Phu Quoc Island in southern Kien Giang province to Cambodia and Singapore from November this year, Vietnam's government portal reported Friday.
Phu Quoc Island, a tourist resort in southern Vietnamese province of Kien Giang, has been connected with the national power grid after installation of an undersea cable was completed last Saturday, Vietnam News daily reported Tuesday.
