Billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates said Thursday the world must learn from the tragic Ebola outbreak and be prepared for an epidemic of a far more infectious disease that could affect about 10 million people.
"Ebola is raging" in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone, killing more than 200 people a day in the worst outbreak ever of the hemorrhagic fever, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said Thursday, adding that health systems were "buckling."
The African Union (AU) and the World Health Organization (WHO) are working closely to address the outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus which has killed more than 1, 000 people since earlier this year.
