Macao's gaming revenue registered a rise of 1.1 percent year-on-year in August, reversing the 26-month slump of the industry.
Macao's general unemployment rate remained relatively low as it edged up 0.1 percentage points from the previous year to 1.8 percent in 2015, announced by the Statistics and Census Service on Wednesday.
Chief executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) Chui Sai On said on Tuesday the region is poised to continuously improve people's livelihood and speed up "appropriate diversification" of the local economy.
