The IGAD Special Envoys for South Sudan welcomed the agreement signed by the South Sudanese government and the SPLM/A (In Opposition) of the implementation matrix and a detailed timetable to implement the Cessation of Hostilities Agreement in South Sudan, said IGAD in a statement on Sunday.
The UN Security Council on Thursday welcomed the resumption of peace talks between South Sudan's warring parties, urging them to adhere to a cease-fire deal signed last month.
The United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) on Monday called for political dialogue in the African country to reach a comprehensive peace agreement, with the participation of all political and civil society representatives, including Sudan People's Liberation Movement ( SPLM) detainees.
