The Pentagon said on Monday a U.S. -led coalition airstrike had killed a senior military leader of the Islamic State (IS) in Iraq.
Up to 14 members of Islamic State (IS) militants were killed on Monday in an air strike and clashes with the Iraqi security forces in the country's largest province of Anbar, a provincial security source said.
The Islamic State (IS) militant group executed 67 tribesmen in Iraq's western province of Anbar on Sunday, as part of mass killings in the past few days against a Sunni tribe which resisted the advance of the militant group, a provincial security source said.
France on Monday expressed concerns over the situation in Iraqi cities of Fallujah and Ramadi after a fresh wave of violent clashes overshadowed several Anbar's cities.
