Nepal has entered into a new political deadlock after the Prime Minister Sushil Koirala failed to expand his cabinet due to the non-cooperation from the coalition partner CPN-UML, leaders said on Sunday.
The High Level Political Committee (HLPC), a mechanism of political parties that back the government and CPN-Maoist have agreed to call a all-party conference to meet the demands of poll-opposing parties, leaders said on Thursday.
The CPN-Maoist's decision not to register at the Election Commission will likely derail the government's plan to hold Constituent Assembly Elections in November.
