A Syrian lawmaker said on Friday that Syrian army has taken control of most parts of a tense eastern Damascus neighborhood, the pan-Arab al-Mayadeen TV reported.
At least 25 Syrian soldiers were killed and dozens of others wounded Wednesday in clashes with extremist groups in the east suburb of the capital Damascus, a monitoring group reported Thursday.
The Syrian troops on Monday dislodged the rebels from a strategic area in the eastern countryside of the capital Damascus, the official SANA news agency reported.
