The former boss of the provincial China Mobile branch of Guangdong Province was expelled from the Communist Party of China (CPC) over serious discipline violations, a provincial discipline body said Wednesday. Xu Long, former boss and general manager of China Mobile Group Guangdong Co., Ltd., has been passed on to judicial authorities, according to the Guangdong CPC discipline inspection commission. Xu accepted bribes from others on several occasions during his time in office at the Guangdong branch, and the amount he received in bribes was huge, it added. Xu became board chairman and general manager of the Guangdong company in 2005. The investigation was officially made public in August of last year.
