The General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and President of Laos Bounnhang Vorachit started his first overseas visit to Vietnam on Monday after being elected.
Laos's National Assembly on Wednesday (April 20) appointed Communist Party chief Bounnhang Vorachit as the country's new president and named foreign minister Thongloun Sisoulith as prime minister.
