Singapore's casino resorts Resorts World Sentosa will soon open an oceanarium that will be one of the largest of its kind in the world, it said on Tuesday.

The oceanarium, set to open on Nov. 22 as part of the Marine Life Park, will be home to 100,000 marine animals covering 800 species in 45 million liters of water, including fish, stingrays, zebra sharks and Queensland groupers.

The operator of the resorts said new species will be added, too, over time.

The centerpiece of the aquarium is the Open Ocean Habitat with a viewing panel that stands at 8.3 meters tall by 36 meters wide.

"Marine Life Park is more than just the dolphins. We are here to present to visitors and guests that walk through our attraction that there is a huge urgent need in the marine environment for conservation and education, and dolphins is one of the components, " said Biswajit Guha, director of conservation and education at the Marine Life Park.

The 25 controversial bottlenose dolphins ordered by the park has arrived in Singapore, too, despite calls by animal activists to release them back to their natural habitat. They will be on display next year to help provide a complete experience.
