Face masks have become a part of life. But many people aren’t disposing of them responsibly. Facemasks are being littered in the streets, oceans, and clogging landfills. The Spanish company Bioinicia is working to find a solution.

Their new Bioinicia FFP2 model is manufactured from cotton paper and is completely biodegradable. And they can be worn for up to 48 hours, longer if non-consecutively. Bioinicia says its product is better at protecting wearers from coronavirus and protecting the environment.

Do you think biodegradable facemasks are the answer?
