Park Won-soon, mayor of South Korea's capital Seoul, went missing Thursday after leaving words like a will, local media reported citing police.

Park's daughter filed the missing report to police at 5:17 p.m. local time (0817 GMT), saying he "left home four to five hours ago after leaving words like a will and his phone is currently off."

About three hours after the disappearance report, the mayor remained unaccounted for. Police has been searching for him, mobilizing drones and police dogs.

Park left his residence in central Seoul at about 10:44 a.m. local time, wearing a black hat and a black backpack.

His mobile phone signal was last detected near a temple in northeastern Seoul.
