By APD writer Rishika Chauhan New Delhi, Aug. 24 (APD) - India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Abu Dhabi on Friday, beginning his two-day official visit to the UAE. At the Presidential Terminal in Abu Dhabi International Airport airport, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority, welcomed Modi.It is Modi’s third visit to the UAE. After reaching, Modi tweeted, "Looking forward to holding talks with His Highness Crown Prince Mohamed Bin Zayed and discussing the full range of friendship between India and UAE.”“Deepening economic relations will also be on the agenda during this visit, “ he further said through twitter.On Saturday, Prime Minister Modi was honored with UAE's highest civilian award, the 'Order of Zayed'. The award was given to him for promoting bilateral ties between India and Iran.In a statement, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said, "The award in the name of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the UAE, acquires special significance as it was awarded to Prime Minister Modi in the year of the birth centenary of Sheikh Zayed.""A 3.3 million-strong vibrant Indian community in the UAE nourishes the vibrant people-to-people contacts between our two friendly countries," the MEA statement further said. (ASIA PACIFIC DAILY)

New Delhi, Aug. 24 (APD) - India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Abu Dhabi on Friday, beginning his two-day official visit to the UAE.
