GUANGZHOU, China – Asia Pacific Daily News Release

Asia Pacific Daily has been invited as an official international‑communication partner by the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government to support the upcoming Global Mayors Forum and the 7th Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation.

The Global Mayors Forum, co‑hosted by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the People’s Government of Guangzhou Municipality, United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) and Metropolis, has grown into a major global platform for city‑to‑city dialogue, innovation exchange and sustainable‑development cooperation since its launch in 2018.

In its partner capacity, Asia Pacific Daily will carry out targeted overseas outreach to invite distinguished city leaders and dignitaries, and deliver comprehensive multilingual international communications coverage for the event. Drawing on its global media network, the platform will help amplify voices from Guangzhou, facilitate practical city‑to‑city exchanges, and support effective implementation of Belt‑and‑Road‑oriented urban cooperation projects.

“Cities are vital engines driving global connectivity and inclusive growth,” said a spokesperson for Asia Pacific Daily. “We look forward to connecting more international stakeholders to this important Guangzhou‑based forum, telling stories of urban innovation and building greater mutual understanding across the Asia‑Pacific and beyond.”

Asia‑Pacific Economic and Trade Development Alliance will also provide coordinated support for related exchange activities.
