MANILA, May 7 (APD) – Feati University, a private engineering institution from the mid-1940s forged its partnership with MSC Software to further train engineering students and professionals in the use of MSC software and empower them for future critical engineering skills.

Dubbed as “Center of Excellence” FEA Simulation in the Philippines, it will enhance the skillsets of students and professionals via industry-oriented training and research projects on simulation.

Regular short-term paid training programs for industry professionals (content and duration-based on the need of respective industries), besides offering regular paid MSC Proficiency Training Programs with certification.

MSC Software’s tools include PATRAN, NASTRAN, APEX, Adams, Easy 5 and newer suite of solutions all designed to enable affordable and faster virtual prototyping.

FEATI University President Dr. Adolfo Jesus R. Gopez expressed optimism the partnership will help college students and professionals further increase their skills.

“We welcome the partnership because it will enhance the students’ and professionals’ capabilities to respond to the growing requirements of the industry,” he said.

“Virtual prototyping allows engineers to simulate the realistic behavior of the component or assembly under various conditions,” Dr. Kaustubh Nande, MSC Marketing Director for Indo Pacific Region said.

He added MSC Software tools also help improve feasibility, reliability and implementation of new products to a large extend.

The agreement between FEATI University and MSC Software has been described as an important first step towards Industry 4.0.

Dr. Gopez said there are over 5,000 FEATI engineering graduates working in Qatar over the past years and some 15,000 more in other Gulf countries.
