1 dead, 2 injured in shooting outside New York night club

One woman was killed and two others injured in a shooting early Monday morning in New York, police said.

The shooting happened around 4 a.m. at a night club in downtown Manhattan, according to the police.

A 24-year-old woman who was shot in the back died at a hospital afterwards, while a 30-year-old woman was shot in the shoulder, and a 25-year-old woman was hit in the hip and foot. The two injured are said to be in serious but stable condition.

The gunman left the nightclub after a dispute and was overheard saying he would return with a gun, Local media quoted police as saying that.

He came back later and began shooting and then fled in a black car, the report said.
