Sopranos actress Annabella Sciorra has accused Harvey Weinstein of raping her in the early 1990s.

The Emmy-nominated star told The New Yorker that Weinstein forced his way in to her apartment "like he owned the place and started unbuttoning his shirt".

"It was very clear where he thought this was going to go," she said.

Sciorra told the magazine that she tried to resist the Hollywood producer but that he carried on.

"He shoved me onto the bed, and he got on top of me" and "attempted to perform oral sex on me," she said.

"I struggled, but I had very little strength left in me. I was so ashamed."

The actress said she stopped working for several years after the incident and fell into depression.

Meanwhile, Splash actress Daryl Hannah has also made allegations against Weinstein.

She also appeared in Kill Bill: Volume 1 which Weinstein produced.

Hannah told The New Yorker that she was in a hotel room with a makeup artist when Weinstein "burst in like a raging bull" and asked to touch her breasts.

She says that when she refused it had an immediate impact on her career.

"I experienced instant repercussions," she said. "I called all the powers that be and told them what had happened. It didn't matter.

"We are not believed. We are more than not believed - we are berated and criticised and blamed."

More than 50 women have made allegations against Weinstein, which he denies.

He is suing his own company to gain access to emails which he claims will "xonerate" him from sexual assault accusations.
