FINA World Championships: China grabs two diving golds on day 4

China grabbed two gold medals on day four of the FINA (Fédération Internationale de Natation) World Championships for diving.

When Chen Aisen and Yang Hao dove into the water for the sixth time in the final, they sealed the gold by almost 40 points. The pair was able to score perfect tens to earn 498.48 points.

Silver goes to the Russians with 458.85, while Germany's Patrick Hausding and Sascha Klein edged out Great Britain's Tom Daley and Daniel Goodfellow for the bronze.

Shi Tingmao and Chang Yani picks up ninth straight gold for China in event.

On the women's side, China attained a ninth straight first place podium in the three-meter synchronized springboard. Shi Tingmao and Chang Yani rarely looked troubled from start to finish.

No one threatened the Chinese pairing at the top and they went on to claim first with 333.30 points. For Shi, this is her third successive three-meter synchro gold.

China won both diving titles of the day, taking the gold medal tally up to seven in Budapest. Abel and Beaulieu finished well back for second place, with Russia's Nadezhda Bazhina and Kristina Ilinykh taking the bronze.

Elsewhere on Monday the Italian duo of Giorgio Minisini and Manila Flamini come out on top in the mixed duet technical synchronized swimming event.

Russia's Mikhaela Kalancha and Aleksandr Maltsev took the silver, while defending champions Bill May and Kanako Kitao from the US came in third.
