At the foot of Changbai Mountain，by the Hailan River, there is a Korean village named after flowers，Jindalai(Azalea)Village. In the past, like many other villages on the border, it was remote but stunning. Population aging issue is serious in this village, the young prefer to work outside the province or abroad. Such poetic and homeplace cannot retain people.
In 2016, Jin Guangri, who worked in the Water Conservancy Bureau of Helong City in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province, was stationed in Jindalai Village as the head of the poverty alleviation work team. Since his arrival,the pace of poverty alleviation in the village has been accelerated with poverty alleviation industries established, and tourism and agricultural products connected smoothly.
Today, more than 100 traditional Korean BB houses are built where folklore tourism, rural sightseeing and flavor catering are all available. The poor village has become a star-rated leisure village. Just like Jindalai, which blooms in the early spring, charming and full of vigor.
Since 2015, as part of efforts to eliminate absolute poverty, Party members or former cadres from government departments, organizations, and enterprises, have been selected to alleviate poverty in villages. They are the “first Party secretaries.”
