Xi Jinping stresses development of modern vocational education system



Chinese President Xi Jinping has stressed the development of a modern vocational education system and called for greater efforts to cultivate more high-quality technical professionals.

Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made the remarks in an instruction toward improving the country's vocational education.

According to statistics from the Ministry of Education, China is home to 30.88 million students currently acquiring skills in 11,300 vocational education institutions.
