Colombia was one of the countries that was under the longest COVID-19 lockdown measures to control the spread of the virus. Last year, families were told to remain in doors in early March until September when restrictions were relaxed in order to boost the economy - A huge challenge for those who live off of what they make daily on the streets.

CGTN's Michelle Begue follows Luis Ricardo Guerrero, who has been shining shoes in Bogota's Lourdes Park for the past 38 years.

Before the pandemic, he could make $10-$20 a day, and now he is barely getting by.
