Huge fire break out in Turkish military zone near Syrian border

A large fire broke out on Thursday in a military zone in Turkey's southeastern province of Kilis bordering Syria, slightly injuring 10 soldiers, state-run Anadolu News Agency reported.

The fire caused explosions in an ammunition depot, and black smoke was seen into the sky.

Fire fighters were reportedly working to control the blaze and traffic has been halted on a highway near the area.

A statement from Kilis governorate said that 10 soldiers injured by the fire and no deaths occurred during the incident.

The cause of the fire remains unclear.
