Ricardo Goulart will be fined for violating anti-COVID-19 rules as the Chinese Super League resumes on Saturday.
SUZHOU, China, July 25 (Xinhua) -- Hebei China Fortune striker Ricardo Goulart is set to be disciplined for taking pictures with fans without wearing a face mask.
The Chinese Super League has implemented strict measures designed to prevent the spread of COVID-19, but photos published on Friday showed the Brazilian-born player standing inside a fence designed to separate him from a cluster of fans and posing to take photos without a mask on.
He is expected to be fined and warned about his actions rather than receiving a suspension.
The 29-year-old joined Hebei China Fortune on loan from Guangzhou Evergrande on Sunday.
He is now in Suzhou with the Hebei side to prepare for their season opener against Shijiazhuang Ever Bright FC next Sunday. ■
