Yiwu, June 29 (APD) – China’s eastern city of Yiwu Wednesday launched a new round of initiatives to recruit top talents and young entrepreneurs from home and abroad.

The new program includes 20 favorable measures in talent introduction, talent service, talent management, startup carrier, startup support, and work pattern.

To fit industrial demands and location characteristics, the program will adopt a different mode to introduce talents, namely bringing in talents by introducing new projects or industrial transformation.

Talents will enjoy better supporting service such as free accommodation, free education for their children and other preferential policies.

The government will also step up efforts to cultivate and support local talents and young innovative personnel, provide them with startup and exhibition platforms. The technical support, program assistance and financial service will be available for university students and graduates who intend to start their own businesses.

Sheng Qiuping, secretary of Yiwu Municipal Committee, said Yiwu will use all means available to attract the best talents.

He hoped these favorable measures will turn the city into an ideal place for entrepreneurship.

Five experts, who have been chosen in the country’s recruitment program for global experts, also known as the "Thousand Talents" program, were rewarded two million yuan for each. Meanwhile, representatives of city’s foreign workers were granted work permits and green cards.
