"The Story of Luke" premieres

Many of the cast and crew also came to the premiere to show support.

"I think the main message is that Luke is not abnormal at all. And autism does not make you abnormal. I think the norm is a stupid word people use. When you get into the way of thinking of a person of autism, which I think I was able to do, it put order to what people called disorderly, and make me understand a little bit about how it just a different way of thinking."

"Anybody can do anything that they set their mind, that they work hard for. No one else should define an individual's limitation but that individual."

"The story of Luke" tells a story about a young man with autism named Luke.

He is sheltered by his grandparents and thrust into a world that doesn't expect anything from him. But Luke is on a quest for a job and true love, and he isn't taking no for an answer.

Although it is a comedy, "The story of Luke" also reveals some serious problem in our society.

"All the other people around, even though they are quote-in-quote normal, they also have issues. So the autism, it does impact a lot in his life, but in a lot of ways, he wants the a lot of same things we all want. That is the main thing, we all very similar."
