Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and German Chancellor Angela Merkel held phone conversation Sunday over recent developments in Libya, Turkey's Directorate of Communications said in a written statement.
The conversation of the two leaders also addressed regional developments, the statement added.
Earlier in the day, Erdogan met with Fayez al-Sarraj, head of Libyan Government of National Accord (GNA), in Istanbul after the cease-fire took effect in the war-torn Libya.
Both the GNA and its rival Libyan National Army, loyal to the commander Khalifa Haftar, accepted the cease-fire called for by the Turkish and Russian presidents on Wednesday.
