Police shoots man outside Dallas Love Field Airport

A police officer shot on Friday afternoon a man who had been involved in a domestic dispute with a woman outside the Dallas Love Field Airport, and the man was sent to hospital for medical treatment.

According to the website of local English Daily the Dallas Morning News, the incident happened about 12:20 p.m. local time when a police officer acted in self-defense after the man threatened him with a large rock.

The police officer fired at least nine shots and the man was conscious when he was rushed to a nearby hospital. No officers were injured.

A lockdown was reported at the airport after the shooting incident. Currently, some parts of the airport has been reopened, but the baggage claim area remained closed.

The authorities have begun to investigate the cause of the incident.
