Chinese visa for talents: faster, easier

Simpler procedures and shorter approval times.

The Chinese government says experts from overseas will get a Chinese visa much faster and easier than ever before.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security said on Tuesday, that various government organizations and state-owned enterprises should submit details of their overseas talent introduction programs to the ministry or the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs.

Thanks to the new priority procedures, these departments will be able to apply for visas and residency permits for foreign talent, and their families, faster and easier.

Meanwhile, high-level overseas experts working in China outside these programs will also enjoy a faster application process if they meet various conditions.

The Chinese government issued a new visa category in 2012, called a "talent visa", to attract more world class business talent to the country.
