Hong Kong Chief Executive C Y Leung on Tuesday met with a visiting U.S. Congressional delegation at the Chief Executive's Office this afternoon to exchange views on issues of mutual concern.

The delegation is led by Patrick Leahy, the President Pro Tempore of the Senate, and Roger Wicker, the Deputy Minority Whip of the Senate.

Leung said that Hong Kong and the United States enjoy close trade and economic ties. As an international city, Hong Kong could act as the "super-connector" in linking the U.S. to the markets both on the mainland and across Asia.

Leung said he hoped Hong Kong and the United States would continue their frequent exchange and co-operation on all fronts.
