Colombia’s nationalstrikemarkedits sixthconsecutive week ofprotestsonThursday.The massive demonstrations began in late April against a controversial tax reform measure. They grew intoanti-governmentprotestsvoicing concerns overa wide range ofsocial and economic inequitiesand police brutality.

The Organization of American States sent officials toColombiawhere they have been investigating reports of humanrights abuses.TheColombian government reports 21 deaths – many of whom died in clashes with security forces. Protest groups say dozens more were killed.
