Hong Kong reports 1 new COVID-19 case, 1,052 in total

Hong Kong's Center for Health Protection (CHP) on Friday reported one more COVID-19 case, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 1,052.

The new case involved a male private pilot who had been to Britain and France in March. The man's girlfriend was infected with COVID-19 and admitted to hospital in April, and has now recovered, head of the CHP's Communicable Disease Branch Chuang Shuk-kwan said at a press conference.

According to the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, there are 29 COVID-19 patients currently in hospital in Hong Kong, with one in critical condition.
