Swan Lake, a classical ballet masterpiece, will be staged at the National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA) from Feb. 4 to 6.

Choreographed by Natalia Makarova, a globally acclaimed ballet dancer, the show will be presented by the National Ballet of China. The dance performance is deemed the most popular version of the show in the international ballet circuit.

Replete with haunting music and exquisite dance, along with an evocative score by well-known composer Tchaikovsky, the three-act dance performance tells a romantic story of a prince's love for a graceful creature.

Chinese people's rendezvous with the classic began in 1958, and in June same year, the performance of Swan Lake by Chinese dancers made its stage debut in China, achieving great success.

The tickets for the show are available on the NCPA website.
