Cambodian PM to attend ASEAN summit, Myanmar meetings

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen will attend the 25th ASEAN Summit and related meetings to be held on Nov. 12 to Nov. 13 in Nay Pyi Taw, capital city of Myanmar, the Cambodian foreign ministry said in a press release on Saturday.

The prime minister will be accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Hor Namhong, Commerce Minister Sun Chanthol, Education Minister Hang Chuon Naron, and other members of the government, said the press release.

Besides the 25th ASEAN Summit, Hun Sen will participate in ASEAN Summits with dialogue partners and the 9th East Asia Summit.

On the sidelines of the summits, Hun Sen will hold separate talks with Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, said the press release.

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) groups Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
