China will focus on promoting the new economic development pattern of "dual circulation", expand the import of high-quality products and services, and share market opportunities with all parties in other countries.
Ding Xuexiang, Chinese vice premier, made the remarks at the China Development Forum (CDF) 2023 on Sunday.
Ding emphasized that opening to the outside world is China's basic national policy and a distinctive symbol of modern China. China's continuous opening up has not only promoted its development, but has also benefited the world.
China will work with other countries to build an open world economy, share opportunities in opening up and address challenges through cooperation, and promote the stable recovery of the world economy, Ding said. The country will strengthen international coordination of macroeconomic policy and head off serious negative spillover effects caused by radical policy adjustment. It will also strive to uphold real multilateralism, inject strong positive energy into the recovery of the global economy, and provide more stability and certainty, he added.

The CDF 2023, themed "Economic Recovery: Opportunities and Cooperation," opened in Beijing on Sunday. The three-day event, hosted by the Development Research Center of the State Council, serves as an important platform for exchanges and discussions among the government officials, global business elites, leaders of international organizations and renowned foreign and Chinese scholars.
In a keynote speech delivered on Sunday, Liu Kun, minister of finance, echoed Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang's view on China's high-quality economic development, noting that China has efficiently coordinated epidemic prevention and control alongside the country's economic and social development.
China's economy has maintained an average annual growth rate of about 4.5 percent, becoming the powerhouse of world economic growth and making important contributions to promoting global economic recovery, he said.
This fully proves the strong resilience of China's economy, and fully demonstrates China's determination to practice the concept of a community with shared future for mankind and promote global development and prosperity, according to Liu.
Meanwhile, China will make efforts to innovate, improve macro-control and comprehensively deepen reform and opening up, so as to promote the continuous improvement of economic operation and achieve effective improvement of "quality" and reasonable growth of "quantity", said Zheng Shanjie, director of the National Development and Reform Commission.
