A direct flight linking Hangzhou, capital of east China's Zhengjiang Province, and Dar es Salaam, commercial capital of Tanzania, will be launched to send more Chinese tourists to the African country.

Air Tanzania said 250 Tanzanian entrepreneurs will fly to Hangzhou on Feb. 24 and 260 Chinese people will take the plane the next day for an eight-day package tour to Tanzania.

The Hangzhou-Dar es Salaam route will be officially launched in April, according to the airlines.

Zhejiang launched a project of "Let's Travel to Africa" last May, part of a five-year exchange and cooperation plan in the tourism sector between Zhejiang and Africa, which will see about 10,000 Zhejiang residents travel to Africa.
