NBA megastar Derek Rose said in Hong Kong on Friday that after being absent on the court for an entire season, he is fully back in form.

After wrapping up his Europe tour, Rose carried on his Asia tour for a sports gear brand, with Hong Kong being the second last stop of a series of promotion campaigns. This is also the 24-year-old's first visit to the city.

Rose impressed NBA fans with his lightning speed, who is also the youngest receiver of the league’s MVP award. Suffering from a severe ACL injury, the Chicago Bulls' point guard missed the games of the whole 2012-2013 season. But he said at a press conference in the city that he is in his top fitness.

"I think I'm 100 pct(fit)," said Rose,"I'm almost doing everything:squatting,running,lifting, etc."

"I'm reacting right now,it's kind of feeling good because I haven't had that for a long time," he added.

A Hong Kong basketballer Fong Shing-yee, had an arm wrestling with Rose for jape afterwards. Albeit it did not wrap up with a winner, Fong said he could sense the Bulls star's strength has come back.

In the subsequent friendly game against local basketballers, Rose cheered fans with three dunks. One of his opponents Lau Chi-kin said he watched the video clips of Rose playing in another friendly match in Japan, and he thinks he has no problem with bothaccelerating and jumping.

"After all he's only 24, he can easily recover to his top notch form at this age," said Lau, “I’m sure that he is pushing the strength of his knees. I’m sure that he is back in form.

He added that Rose has been practicing shoot outs his injury. He looks forward to seeing his cannons in the upcoming season.

Rose also pointed out that rather that injury, how to get back to the team is his real concern.

"My team had been playing for a whole year without myself being back, I just have to be used how they play, and they have to be used to play with me, this is the biggest desire," said Rose.

Not only did Rose did the funny arm wrestling and friendly matches, he played a spectacular table tennis match with local artistes Pakho Chau and Shiga Lin, and watched two six-year-old children’s dribbling skills, which largely cracked him up.

Rose will move on to the Philippines tomorrow to carry on his Asian tour.
