At least 1 dead, several injured in Iranian naval accident -- local media

At least one person died and several others were injured in a naval exercise off the southern Iranian coast on Sunday, according to local media citing the Iranian Navy.

The accident occured when an Iranian Navy vessel mistakenly hit another with a missile during the naval exercise in the Oman Sea, the report said.

The injured crew members in the reportedly friendly fire have been sent to a local hospital for treatment, it said.
