NASA: where you can check out the uses of liquid nitrogen, purchase your very own star map and establish a healthy distrust of robots from a young age.

took his 4-year-old daughter to theJohnston Space Center

in Houston, Texas, for a day of educational fun recently, and it was mostly going ok— until dessert.

A high-tech (is it?) frozen yogurt machine promised to customize the little girl's dessert, made it to her specifications and showed it to her.

Then, it just took took it away from her.

"It was the funniest/worst thing I have ever seen," Derwolfe commented.

He elaborated in the post that she had been asking about the frozen yogurt robot "10-12" times since after lunch. She said, as 4-year-olds do, that she had a "separate section for dessert."

After the initial shock and trauma, her parents whisked her away to a distraction-viewing of a short film about space rovers, followed up by an astronaut ice cream. By all other means, that's an excellent end to a day at NASA.

As for the lasting implications of this betrayal, Derwolfe said, "We are in an automatic car wash right now, re-establishing her trust In robots."
