Authorities in the Philippines have expressed deep sorrow for the 37 people who were killed during the attack on Resorts World Manila casino in Manila earlier this week.

Officials said they are conducting a full investigation into Thursday's rampage, and will tighten security to ensure safety across the capital. The government also added that the arson during the casino attack had no connection to terrorism, despite ISIL claiming responsibility for the assault.

At least one person from the Chinese mainland and four from Taiwan were killed in the attack.

Meanwhile, the casino management announced it will pay some 20,000 US dollars to the families of each victim, and will cover all funeral-related expenses.

The casino has also released security camera footage, showing the gunman firing his M4 rifle in the air, setting gaming tables alight and shooting at security forces in a stairwell during the attack.
