China to beef up supply of daily necessities amid coronavirus outbreak

China will strengthen measures to ensure the supply of daily necessities in central China's Hubei Province, the epicenter of the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, said Lian Weiliang, deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), at a press conference on Monday.

Ensuring the public has basic necessities is critical to the prevention and control of the epidemic, added Lian.
