Britain's Conservative and Labor parties suspended national campaigning on Sunday for the upcoming general election, after seven people were killed in terror attacks in London, Reuters reported.

Prime Minister Theresa May's Conservative Party was the first to announce the suspension of its campaign. "We will review as the day goes on and as more details of the attack emerge," a spokesman for May said following the attack.

“The Labor Party will be suspending national campaigning until this evening, after consultations with other parties, as a mark of respect for those who have died and suffered injury," party leader Jeremy Corbyn said in a statement.

The Liberal Democrats, the Green Party and the Scottish National Party have also called off campaigning for Thursday's parliamentary election in the wake of the attack.
