U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden said here Friday that the United States will continue to bet on South Korea, according to a pool report released by Seoul's presidential office Cheong Wa Dae.

Biden said that he has reiterated his stance during his week- long Asian tour that it would not be a great betting to bet on the opposite side from the opposite side of America, indicating the continued U.S. commitment to its Asian allies.

Biden made the remarks during his meeting with South Korean President Park Geun-hye.

The U.S. vice president arrived Thursday evening in Seoul, the final stop of his three-nation Asian tour, after holding talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

Biden said that he would make clear U.S. President Barack Obama 's foreign policy to rebalance towards the Asia-Pacific, noting that the U.S. foreign policy should be above any suspicion.

He added that the U.S. administration has never said a word that will not converted into action.

President Park said that Biden's visit to three Asian countries would contribute much to peace in the Northeast Asian region, hoping that the six-decade-long South Korea-U.S. alliance will deepen and develop further based on trust.
