People in the Pacific Northwest try to cool down amid record heat

The extreme heat wave hitting the Northwest of the United States is beginning to lift Wednesday in Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon.

Over 52 million people remain under a heat warning in the United States, as many cities see their hottest temperatures on record.

People find their way to water and cooling centers to cool down nationwide as the heat is expected to continue into July.
