Over hundred feared dead in India flash flood

Some 100 to 150 casualties are feared in a flash flood in Chamoli District of India's Uttarakhand State, according to ANI news agency citing local authorities.

Professional teams and choppers have been dispatched for rescue operations.

The flash flood was followed by a glacier burst and has taken out one bridge and damaged a local power station project which is still under construction, ANI reported.
