Heavy rains are extinguishing Australia’s fires

Scenes of raging fires have been coming out of Australia for months now, but now firefighters say recent heavy rain has helped extinguish over 30 fires. The dry scorched earth wasn’t ready for this massive downpour that's recently hit. Heavy rains in parts of New South Wales turned dry riverbeds into torrents of water and city streets flooded.
