CAS to announce on Friday whether to ban China's three-time Olympic champion Sun Yang for anti-doping rule violations.
LAUSANNE, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- Chinese swimming star Sun Yang will end his wait for a decision from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on the tribunal hearing of Sun and FINA versus the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) on Friday.
The decision will be published on the CAS website at 10am local time (0900 GMT) on Friday, according to a CAS statement.
"The Secretary General will also announce the decision in person in front of the CAS headquarters in a short statement to the media," read the CAS release.

Sun, a three-time Olympic champion, refused to complete a doping test conducted by international testing company IDTM on September 4, 2018, accusing the Doping Control Officer and her assistants of lacking sufficient authorization and credentials.
His case was later heard by swimming's global governing body FINA, who decided on January 3 that the swimmer was not guilty of anti-doping rule violations. WADA disagreed and appealed the decision, and asked CAS to ban Sun for between two and eight years. ■
