All you need to know about Grammy Festival Beijing

The inaugural Grammy Festival is coming to Beijing in less than a month. Tickets have been ready for sale since mid March and the shuttle service was temporarily suspended on March 25 since the demand has far exceeded the expectation.

But rest assured, the organizers have added more buses to better accommodate the audiences needs.

For those who haven't made up their minds, here is all the information you need to know to decide.

When is the festival?

The Grammy Festival Beijing will be held on April 30, which is a Monday.

Where will the festival be held?

The huge influx of audiences could pose great pressure on the traffic if the festival is to be held in the downtown. Hence, the organizers found a place in the suburb – Changyang Music Theme Park in Fangshan District, southwest Beijing.

How can I get there?

The inaugural Grammy Festival Beijing will be held in the Changyang Music Theme Park.

The organizers provide paid shuttle service from downtown to the park. It costs 50 yuan (8 US dollars) per person for a round trip and it is only purchasable online. However, you have to gather at the two designated locations – Guomao in the east or Wudaokou in the northwest – to board on the coaches.

If you don't like the plan, you can either rent a car or take the subway. For subway takers, you can get off at Changyang Station on the Fangshan Line and take a taxi.

Who are performing?

The line-up includes 11-time Grammy winner Pharrell Williams, Grammy winners Phoenix, Daya, Macy Gray as well as past Grammy nominees OneRepublic, James Bay and Carly Rae Jepson. Recently, the event announced to add two Chinese musicians to the performers list, namely Nicholas Tse Ting-fung and William Chan – both are from Hong Kong.

Is that all? No. The line-up is still growing and more entertainers will be announced in the following weeks.

How long does the festival last?

The festival starts at 14:00 p.m. Beijing Time and will last for eight hours. So make sure you pack enough food and water for your trip there. Food and beverages in the park could be expensive.

How much is the ticket?

Presale ticket is 580 yuan (92 US dollars) per person. But if you buy it at the scene, the ticket will cost you an extra 300 yuan – that is 880 yuan.

Who are the organizers?

The festival is jointly held by the Recording Academy - the organization behind the Grammy Awards, BRAVO Entertainment and China Music Vision Ltd.
