The second edition of "Asia Fest" that gathered together highlights of Asian culture was concluded Tuesday in the center of the Romanian capital city of Bucharest.

Traditions from China, India, Japan, and South Korea, a mystery for many Europeans, were displayed at the five-day event, including cuisine, costumes, calligraphy, painting, martial arts, music and dance, among others.

Young girls from the "Confucius Institute" in Bucharest showed the public the ancient link between dancing and Chinese symbols in the "Taiji Fan" dance, centered on the "floating" of the fans, and the "Taijiquan" dance.

"This year is even better than the last edition. It is almost like a fair. I love the costumes," said Mioara, a teacher from Bucharest.

Chinese student Xin Menglu, present in the public, said that "Asia Fest brought a step closer to Romanians the lights and colors of the Chinese culture."
