Chinese premier extends congratulations to new Grenada PM

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Tuesday congratulated Dickon Mitchell on his assuming office as Grenada's prime minister.

In a congratulatory message, Li said that Grenada is an important cooperative partner of China in the Caribbean region.

Since the resumption of their diplomatic ties 17 years ago, China-Grenada relations, based on the one-China principle, have maintained sound and steady development, with political mutual trust continuously enhanced, practical cooperation achieving fruitful results and friendship between their people constantly deepened, Li added.

Li said China attaches great importance to the development of its relations with Grenada, and that he is willing to work with Mitchell to elevate bilateral friendly relations to higher levels, so as to benefit both countries and their people.
